The door sits within the cabinet opening when closed.
Additional Inset options: Inset Thick Door, Inset Extra Thick Door, and Inset Free Swing.
KV pocket door slides allow a cabinet door to open, pivot clear of the cabinet face, and retract into a side pocket. Use the guide below to understand the slide families, door-size limits, hinge programs, required components, and Full Overlay requirements. Then use the interactive selector to narrow the correct configuration for a specific door.
The door opens normally, pivots clear of the cabinet opening, and then retracts into the side pocket so it can be stored out of the way.
The door sits within the cabinet opening when closed.
Additional Inset options: Inset Thick Door, Inset Extra Thick Door, and Inset Free Swing.
The door partially overlays the cabinet opening or partition when closed.
The Full Overlay Hinge Kit is part of the 4x4 system and uses the 8091 slide.
A partition wall is required because the slides must be mounted to the partition.
Partition walls: In other pocket-door applications, a partition may be used simply to conceal the slide hardware. In the 3/4" Full Overlay application, the partition wall serves a functional mounting purpose.
Maximum door weight: 30 lb.
Use the appropriate 8070 / 8071 / 8072 or 8080 / 8081 / 8082 configuration.
Maximum door weight: 75 lb.
Use 8091 or 8092 when the door exceeds any standard size or weight limit.

Partition wall required: The slides must be mounted to the partition wall for the 3/4" Full Overlay application.
The pinion shaft is a required operating component of the 4x4 rack-and-pinion system — it is not an optional accessory.
Available in 36", 48", and 72" lengths. Cabinetmakers may cut the shaft down to the required application length.
This is a true accessory used for raised-panel door applications when the cassette roller configuration is required.
| Shaft Length | 10-Pack | 2-Pack |
|---|---|---|
| 36" | 8090B EB 36 | 8092SB EB 36 |
| 48" | 8090B EB 48 | 8092SB EB 48 |
| 72" | 8090B EB 72 | 8092SB EB 72 |
Pinion shaft sizing: Do not select shaft length from door height alone. A 4x4 system may be used on a shorter door, and the shaft can be cut down to the required length. Confirm the final shaft selection for the cabinet/application.
Use the interactive selector below to enter the door application, height, width, weight, and hinge preference. It will narrow the applicable slide system and identify required 4x4 components when applicable.
Make your selections below. Additional questions will appear as they apply to the selected door configuration.
Standard maximum: 42" H × 24" W and 30 lb. | 4x4 maximum: 72" H × 26" W and 75 lb.
Recommended configuration
A pinion shaft is a required operating component for 8091 / 8092 rack-and-pinion systems. KV offers 36", 48" and 72" shaft lengths. Because cabinetmakers may use the 4x4 system on shorter doors and may cut the shaft down to the required length, this selector does not automatically choose a shaft length.
