KV pocket door slides allow a cabinet door to open, pivot clear of the cabinet face, and retract into a side pocket. The correct system depends on the door application, door size and weight, slide series, hinge program, and any required components.
The door opens, pivots clear of the cabinet opening, and then retracts into the side pocket so it can be stored out of the way.
The door sits within the cabinet opening, flush with the cabinet face, when closed.
Inset configurations: 3/4" Inset Door, 3/4" Inset Free Swing Door, 1" Inset Thick Door, and 1-1/4" Inset Door. Hinge compatibility depends on door thickness and hinge program.
Allows the door to overlay the cabinet outer wall up to 7/16".
The Full Overlay Hinge Kit provides a 3/4" overlay with a 3/4"-thick door. The overlay decreases as door thickness increases.
The Full Overlay Hinge Kit is part of the 4x4 system and uses the 8091 slide. See Step 5 for door-thickness and pocket-width details.

• Optional for Inset and Partial Overlay door applications — slides attach to the cabinet outer wall.
• Required for 3/4" Full Overlay door applications — slides attach to the partition wall.

The 3/4" overlay applies to a 3/4"-thick door. As door thickness increases, the amount of overlay decreases and the required pocket width increases.

Installation requirements: Mount the Full Overlay Hinge Kit and 8091 slides to a partition wall. A pinion shaft and 40 mm hinge bore are also required.
The pinion shaft is a required operating component of the 4x4 rack-and-pinion system.
KV offers 36", 48", and 72" shaft lengths. Cabinetmakers may cut the shaft down to the required application length.

Pinion shaft sizing: Select shaft length from the final cabinet and application dimensions, not door height alone. The 4x4 system may be used on a shorter door, and the shaft can be cut to the required length.
Cabinet depth / slide length: Allow 4.0" of additional interior cabinet depth beyond the selected slide length to accommodate the large metal plate on the slide. If cabinet depth equals the slide length, the door panel may remain approximately 4.0" proud of the cabinet face.
Door pull: A projecting pull, such as a loop pull or knob, can prevent the door from retracting fully. A recessed or flush pull allows the door to retract fully into the pocket.
This optional accessory is used for raised-panel door applications when the cassette roller configuration is required.

Recommended configuration

Because cabinetmakers may use the 4x4 system on shorter doors and may cut the shaft down to the required length, this selector does not automatically select a shaft length.
