KV Pocket Door Slides: Selection & Ordering Guide

Understand the KV pocket door slide system, review selection requirements, and use the interactive selector to narrow the correct configuration.

KV pocket door slides allow a cabinet door to open, pivot clear of the cabinet face, and retract into a side pocket. Use the guide below to understand the slide families, door-size limits, hinge programs, required components, and Full Overlay requirements. How the

The door opens normally, pivots clear of the cabinet opening, and then retracts into the side pocket so it can be stored out of the way.

The door sits within the cabinet opening when closed.

Additional Inset options: Inset Thick Door, Inset Extra Thick Door, and Inset Free Swing.

Partial Overlay

The door partially overlays the cabinet opening or partition when closed.

3/4" Full Overlay

The Full Overlay Hinge Kit is part of the 4x4 system and uses the 8091 slide.

A partition wall is required because the slides must be mounted to the partition.

Partition walls: In other pocket-door applications, a partition may be used simply to conceal the slide hardware. In the 3/4" Full Overlay application, the partition wall serves a functional mounting purpose.

Up to 42" H × 24" W

Maximum door weight: 30 lb.

Use the appropriate 8070 / 8071 / 8072 or 8080 / 8081 / 8082 configuration.

4x4 Rack-and-Pinion System

Up to 72" H × 26" W

Maximum door weight: 75 lb.

Use 8091 or 8092 when the door exceeds any standard size or weight limit.

Door exceeds 42" H × 24" W or 30 lb.?
Use the 8091 / 8092 4x4 rack-and-pinion system. This applies to larger or heavier Inset and Partial Overlay applications.

8091 Salice normally 4x4 rack-and-pinion system for larger/heavier applications. Grass is permitted only with the 8091-based Full Overlay Hinge Kit.
8092 Grass 4x4 rack-and-pinion system for larger/heavier applications.
Important: Do not mix Grass and Salice hinge programs.
8091 normally pairs with Salice hinges.
8092 pairs with Grass hinges.
The 8091 Full Overlay Hinge Kit is the exception and may use either the listed Grass or Salice Full Overlay hinge kit.

Additional options: Soft-Close Salice hinges are available for Inset and Partial Overlay applications. KV Grass and Salice hinges are available in nickel and black finishes.

3/4" Full Overlay

The KV 4x4 Full Overlay Hinge Kit requires the 8091 slide.
This is the only configuration in this guide where a Grass hinge is intentionally paired with 8091.

Required component
& optional accessory

Required for 8091 / 8092: Pinion Shaft

The pinion shaft is a required operating component of the 4x4 rack-and-pinion system — it is not an optional accessory.

Available in 36", 48", and 72" lengths. Cabinetmakers may cut the shaft down to the required application length.

Optional: 8090P CR Raised Panel Cassette Roller

This is a true accessory used for raised-panel door applications when the cassette roller configuration is required.

Pinion shaft sizing: Do not select shaft length from door height alone. A 4x4 system may be used on a shorter door, and the shaft can be cut down to the required length. Confirm the final shaft selection for the cabinet/application.
